Recording these songs live for the first time, St Vincent has performed five tracks from Strange Mercy for the tenth visual installment in the 4AD Session series. Shot at Shangri-La Studios in the heart of the Brooklyn film and photography district in Greenpoint, the session was recorded with Annie's new band, Daniel Mintseris (keys), Toko Yasuda (moog) and Matthew Johnson (drums).

Critical Times – Fishbone's Hen House Sessions is a 2001 DVD release by Fishbone recorded at Hen House Studios, a free community recording studio in Venice, California.[1] The film centers primarily on the creation, mutation and recording of the songs in the studio - giving a privileged viewpoint as if one were a member of the band. Some members Fishbone felt that they were at a critical moment in the band's history, and that the sessions could lead to a mainstream breakthrough or a total breakdown.[2] The seamless blend of multi-angle cinéma vérité and time lapse photography turns day to night and back again as the band pleads, cajoles, argues and uses every trick in the book to bring their music alive. Critical Times also delves into personal lives, politics, factions in the band and competing musical styles.

In 2012 at an artist retreat in Redhook, N.Y., multidisciplinary artists Soomi Kim and Gein Wong shot an improvised dance sequence in the barn (Hillary and Pete McCabe) on site. The movement was created while playing an audio recording of Art Garfunkel rambling on during a studio session (hence the name "Art in Session"). Gein and Soomi repeated this improvisation about 10 times. This is the 6th take. It's one shot, hand held Canon HFG10. Music was later layered on by guitarist and composer Adam Rogers.
