In the difficult days of the coronavirus and the quarantine, many difficulties arise for couples. Especially in couples where society treats more strictly, like a couple of women. Antigone is a dynamic and strict woman and a fighting lawyer. On the other hand, Ioli is more sensitive and emotional. She suffers from years of depression and being fired from her job because of her sexual preferences has taken a toll on her and she finds solace in alcohol and technology. Antigone tries to stand by her and help her in her own way. But in the end he resorts to the way of Ioli.... The film was made in the context of the 5th Panorama Film School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with the theme DEACTIVATION.

In this film, testimonies are combined with scenes that plunge into the surreal and the fantastic to narrate death from different angles, death related to transfeminicides, only in the year 2021, 36 trans women were murdered in Colombia; social death that seeks to annul in exclusion and silencing the life that makes it uncomfortable; and the multiple deaths that we experience in life, which speak of renunciations, forgetfulness, separations, changes.

Ten years have passed since we made the film “Crossroad Street”, about a small street in the suburbs of the city of Riga. Now we’ve come back. Perhaps it was a sense of duty, perhaps nostalgia that brought us back – who knows? Perhaps it was both. Daiga, Aldis, Osis – they’re all our people. The first film had an impact on both the filmmakers and the residents of Crossroad Street. We found friends whom we want to meet again and again. Society has become more prosperous, several value systems coexist side-by-side. People often live in these systems as though they were in different worlds that never meet. We felt that the world inhabited by our people is sinking into oblivion, and so we wanted to show that it still has its own turbulence, that Crossroad Street resembles Latvia’s palm – the place where a fortune teller can see the lines of its destiny.
