The Files of Justice is a series of Hong Kong legal drama produced by TVB. There were 5 seasons produced, the first was aired in 1992 spanning 13 episodes. The series revolves around a group of lawyers and legal personnel with stories interwoven between their personal lives and the court cases in which they’re engaged. This drama is Bobby Au Yeung's TV debut.

A young detective seeks the help of a discharged police officer, giving him the chance to reclaim his old life in exchange for solving a bank raid case.

Money-minded lawyer Sung Sai Kit (Cheung Tat Ming) was extremely clever and his eloquent speech has won him thousands of cases in court. However, he had a bad reputation since he worked for whoever paid him well. Then his wife Ling Lung (Amy Kwok) got pregnant. Kit wanted to do good in his son’s name and started to be more charitable. He spared others in court and even represented orphan Sing (Fan Siu Wong) in a case. Sing’s father was misjudged as a murderer and Kit successfully proved him innocent. Not long afterwards, Ling Lung gave birth to a boy and Kit decided to retire. However, it wasn’t long when Kit was forced to go back into business. Justice Sung II is the sequel in 1999.

Baek Beom has worked as a forensic doctor for 10 years. He has a bad personality, but he is excellent with his work. Baek Beom does not open his mind to other people. Eun Sol is a rookie prosecutor with a warm heart. She has a bright personality and she comes from wealth family background. The forensic doctor and prosecutor work together to solve cases.

Lee Tae Kyung is a star lawyer with the best win rate. He is able to win cases by using his sharp logic and intelligent speeches. He amasses power and wealth by dealing with clients who are part of the elite class. His cases are usually referred from Song Woo Yong who is the owner of a construction company. Lee Tae Kyung gets these high class criminals acquitted or at minimum receive probation. He first became a lawyer to get revenge for his younger sister, but has since become focused on money. He changes when he deals with a series of cases involving missing actresses. Meanwhile, Song Woo Yong has grown his construction company by funneling criminal cases involving wealthy people to Lee Tae Kyung. For his family, he desires even more power. He comes into conflict with Lee Tae Kyung over the cases involving missing actresses.

Qi Heng, vice president of the Qizhou Intermediate People's Court, took over the complicated "fishing boat murder case" as soon as he took office and peeled back the survivors' testimony to find loopholes in them. At the same time, Luo Huai Gong's "Jiang Yun Chemical Group'," causes the villagers living near the factory to suffer from terminal illness. Soon, both cases will connect together in an unexpected way.

Sung Sai Kit (Cheung Tat Ming) has retired to a poor shabby village and lived there in seclusion with his wife Ling Lung (Amy Kwok) and their child Joe since the Empress Dowager ordered the execution of his entire family. However, his real identity is soon unveiled when Kit manages to help the orphaned, helpless Choy (Sherming Yiu). Fortunately, Prince Kung has granted him the exemption from death for three years, and not long afterwards he even becomes His Majesty’s counsel. A series of cases including ‘The Iron-headed General’, ‘The Phantom Murderer’, ‘A Fatal Spell’, ‘The Unfilial Son from Heaven’ and many more and Kit is to deal with them.

Justice Bao is a 236-episode television series from Taiwan, first airing on Chinese Television System from February 1993 to January 1994. The show stars Jin Chao-chun as the Chinese official Bao Zheng in the Song Dynasty. It was hugely popular in Greater China as well as many other countries in the Far East. The series was originally scheduled for just 15 episodes. However, the show garnered high ratings when the initial episodes aired. Due to its popularity, CTS expanded the show to 236 episodes. The TVB and ATV Home networks in Hong Kong both bought the series in an attempt to gain viewers. Competition between the two networks during the showing of the series was so severe that identical episodes were shown on both channels on the same night. It was also one of the first dramas that used NICAM technology.

Justice Bao stars producer Jin Chao-chun as the Song dynasty official Bao Zheng. Jin reprises his iconic role from the popular 1993 Taiwanese series Justice Pao alongside Kenny Ho, Fan Hung-hsuan and Lung Lung.

It’s not to put ourselves in their shoes and sympathize, or even forgive them; it’s not to find some reasons to exculpate their crimes; it’s not to kneel down before the so-called “complexity of human nature”; nor to introspect social conflicts, much less to alienate ourselves into monsters. We just want to have a fair trial – for ourselves and for those who still have hope for the world.
