Some of the most respected religious thinkers sit down to grapple with daunting questions from the Bible. Their task is no small feat: Focusing on the 12 apostles, these scholars aim to examine, with the help of computer technology, the figures and events illustrated in the Bible and separate true history from legend.

In a distant galaxy, traveling carnivals feature famous mystics. The most popular of all is The Great Bazandini. Villagers clamor to see his act, but one person knows it’s a sham...his daughter, Mirza. She desperately wants to escape this world of swindlers, but standing in her way is the carnival’s ringleader, notorious conman, Dr. Leopold Rundy. MIRZA THE MIRACULOUS is a short lo-fi sci-fi experimental B-movie adventure incorporating dubbed gibberish voices, abstract art, remnants of Mardi Gras costumes, toy props, dustbuster spaceships, on-screen text and analog electronic music. It’s absurd, kaleidoscopic and homemade. The movie was originally shot on an abandoned Western movie set on the Texas-Mexican border in 1999, but was abandoned due to technical difficulties. 15 years later, the project was revived by a successful Kickstarter fund-raising campaign. The original footage was reimagined and re-edited with new technology to create a one-of-a-kind film.

In 1906 the young Bela Bartok set out to discover the forgotten music of his people. He found a vast treasure of folk music all over Eastern Europe, and he called his discovery 'a miraculous circumstance'. In this film the late A. L. Lloyd retraces Bartok's journeys through Hungary and Romania to rediscover that treasure of native music.

An imaginary portrait of the performance artist Bas Jan Ader's final days. Ader was a Dutch performance artist who was lost at sea in 1975, while he was attempting to cross the ocean during a performance called, In Search of the Miraculous. Ader, (Josh Elrod) travels through the desert of the American West, and joins forces with a fever dream companion (John Earl Jelks) and they make their way to the ocean where they perform Ader's final, miraculous performance. The film is set in Southern California.

A film directed by Zivko Nicolic, script adaptation by Milan Peters based on the 1949 book by P.D.Ouspensky. Sidney:Fairway Films in association with Znak Productions Belgrade, 1998, 42 min. black & white. Thoughtfully telescopes Ouspensky's book and glimpses of the teaching he received from Gurdjieff, interspersed with archival footage the Russia Revolution.
