Mimí Derba is a documentary about one of the pioneers in acting and film production in México. In 1917, along with photographer Enrique Rosas, she founded one of the first film production companies: Azteca Films. Alejandra Moya captures a brief glimpse into the first Mexican female director.

The story is about the daily life of a piece of bread named Mimi, and some of her friends and family. Based on Shimamori Natsuko's Shokupan Mimi (White Bread Mimi) 4-panel manga.

What happens when love runs out of time? For a 92-year-old mother, Mimi, who has cared 64 years for her daughter, Dona, who has an intellectual disability, it means facing the inevitable -- she will not outlive her daughter -- and finding her daughter a home. This poignant, heartbreaking and, at times, humorous documentary traces this process through the story of a wonderfully quirky and deeply connected mother-daughter duo. The film spotlights the challenges of aging caregivers of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities -- some 4.6 million Americans, 75 percent of whom live at home with family -- and details the ripple effects of Dona's disability on three generations of a Texas family.

Consul Keyser, a factory owner, is vacationing with his daughter Marion on a Mediterranean island, hoping to bring her together with his assistant Dr. Thomas Steffen. On this island, however, the passionate fisherman Michael Lutz and his somewhat neglected admirer Barbara Holstein already spend their vacations.Michael asks the singer Bob Stuart, together with his band in their ghost costumes to drive away the annoying newcomers again. However, it no longer comes to this, because on behalf of Gina, the wife of the local police chief, real gangsters appear with the tourists and finally flee with their dinghy. So now the vacationers have to rely on each other willy-nilly, and the couples finally find each other.

Earning rave reviews in recent years for her audiophile albums, Hong Kong singer/actress Mimi Lo finally had her first major solo concert in April 2012, or about 17 years after her debut.
