Under the auspicious name "Magical Mystery" the Berlin techno label BummBumm Records wants to go on a rave tour. Karl Schmidt aka Charly himself was once an aspiring artist on the scene, until he retired after a nervous breakdown five years ago. Since then he lives in a supervised withdrawal WG in Hamburg. Now, as a driver and custodian for the party-loving DJs and their producers, he becomes part of "Magical Mystery", trying to lead a self-determined life after years of patronizing and well-intentioned advice.

Originally produced for television, this short film as an off-the-wall road movie starring the Beatles and a couple dozen friends on a psychedelic bus tour.

Within, they find, among other things, heads falling from the ceiling, Burton performing card tricks, and even a bizarre demon-like villain character who engages in a prolonged swordfight with Burton. At the end of this fight, Burton performs another display of his talents, wherein he reveals that the demon character never existed, and that the entire ordeal was, in his words, "just a trick". Afterward, the characters leave the mansion, where they meet another lost traveler, Stan Allen, magician, looking for a phone, whom they wryly tell to "help [himself]".

Shinichi Kudo is playing soccer in the park. While there, he sees a man who is trying to confirm his alibi for when his Grandmother was murdered, as he was drunk and passed out in the park at the time, but has no one that can verify his alibi, and he is the prime suspect. Shinichi decides to help. Due getting so concentrated in this case, Shinichi gets into a big fight with Ran Mouri, the longest fight they've ever been in. After Shinichi helps solve the case, both him and Ran and shown walking home from school, both wanting to end the fighting. They both see cherry blossom's, and hear someone sing "Amazing Grace", which ends the week long fight between the two. And Conan narrates how he didn't realize that song was going how this will help in a case 3 years later, in the Full Score of Fear case.

On the roof of an ancient palace appear a young Knight and his lady. While they are making love an ugly old witch appears and is rather troublesome. The Knight commands her to leave, and when he is about to force her away she sits on her broom and rises to the moon. After disappearing she causes various hob-goblins to haunt the pair, the last of them stealing away the lady while the Knight's back is turned. The Knight, frantic with grief, is suddenly confronted by a Fairy, who presents him with a magical sword, and tells him that he can use it to regain the young woman.
