While a murderer, Lucas, escapes during a prison transfer, a strange phenomenon suddenly disrupts the life of a village. One after another, the inhabitants fall into a prolonged sleep. Robert and his fiancée Lucienne were due to go on vacation together to a tented village in Sicily.
