Claire Weygand, a thirty-year-old young woman who is about to defend her anthropology thesis, unfortunately not only feels bad but even worse and worse with each passing day. The migraine attacks she suffers from indeed keep her from working as hard as she should and in despair she decides to consult Doctor Fish. When the medicine the physician prescribes for her fails, Claire, who can't take it any more, asks him to hospitalize her. The key to the communal laundry room in the block of flats on the Rue de Genève 85 in Lausanne serves a much greater function than merely unlocking the door. This encounter between a symbol of typical Swiss mentality with a penchant for order and the tenants who have been housed here by the city’s social services department is not something to be taken for granted. Although the laundry room is normally located in the cellar, the tenants in this building share a tiny laundry room off the entrance hall because the cellar is reserved for prostitution. To maintain order and cleanliness, the landlord hires Claudina, a new “laundry woman”.

This black and white effort from Jean Pierre Lefebvre depends on symbolic impressionism rather than plot.

Damian is 20 years old. We meet him a few months before he leaves the juvenile prison in Celje (in Slovenia), where he has been detained since he was sixteen. From his cell he dreams of the room at home, the room that once used to be his father’s and which awaits him when he returns to his grandparents’ house. When he finally arrives in this house, his desire to start a new life and to renew the relationship with his family and the society is put to trial.

Louise enjoys a private moment to open her treasure box in the room she shares with her little sister. She does not know that she has been hiding under her bed to spy on her. The film deals with sensuality through a both charming and erotic experience of an involuntary interaction between two sisters.
