The degradation of a magnetic video tape is driven by the reverberation of voices that, when echoing through radio waves, worship defeated myths – the power of old lighting poles that fight against expiration, a scared away titan that will soon become scrap.
Between 2016 and 2019 the historian Christian Delage filmed a series of interviews with people related to the Paris attacks of the 13th of November 2015: survivors, relatives and friends of the victims, rescuers. Ordinary lives no longer such because of the tragic events in which they found themselves involved. Filming the memory to deal with the past and regain that sense of community severely shaken by the attacks.

This documentary follows the legendary African singer and guitarist Ali Farka Touré (who died in 2006) as he returns to his home and musical roots in Niafunké, the village on the banks of the River Niger in Mali. Touré now sees himself as a farmer and family man, and is trying to improve agricultural and social conditions in the province of Timbuktu. The region has no roads and no electricity and Touré himself drove director Marc Huraux across the vast expanse of unforgiving desert land that surrounds Niafunké to make this film. The cameras accompany Touré as he goes about his daily farm business, and fulfilling his role and responsibilities as an important local figure.
Spoorloos is a television program of the KRO-NCRV in which tracing blood relatives is central. Sometimes family members have lost track of each other, or have never even seen each other. The reasons why contact is broken are diverse. For example, a child who has been abandoned by one of the parents after a broken relationship or a baby who has been given up for adoption.
