A devoted couple settled themselves in Hong Kong decades ago through turmoil across the border, navigated through ebb and flow together in life. Since the stroke of the wife, Yeung Ha (Brenda Chan), they were both physically and mentally weighed down. Husband Lau Choi (Ying To Li), with his unswerving affection, continues their journey to the other side of life as it vanish away.

A millionaire invites some friends for a weekend on an island, where some say there is a buried treasure. But a storm takes the boat away, and they stay isolated from the rest of the world. In these conditions, everybody starts to show their real nature and character.

In this somber drama, residents of a small island accuse a nobleman of killing a priest when the man of the cloth disappears. The two were seen arguing, and the nobleman is the main suspect. The priest is only away on a sabbatical trying to regain his faith, but the islanders continue to put pressure on the innocent noble.

Dos Islas is a poetic story about old age, family and the bond between a granddaughter and a grandmother. The woman, who just turned 102, tells stories about her past and childhood. In a literary and visual way she describes the most minute details. The film dazzles the viewer with love and optimism, the time passes slowly between the two islands, which might be real people, real places or the products of the main character’s imagination.

The main hero of the film 'Island' is Mykola Golowan, an old sculptor from the Ukrainian town of Lutsk where he has been building his unique house for over 30 years now. The place has become a tourist's attraction: people come here to take a souvenire photo with the house, and sometimes with the master himself. The film, however, tells about the everyday life of a person who does what he loves, not paying attention to popularity, not seeking acclaim. It is a story about the harmony of solitude.

By constructing, re-filming and hand animating the photographs and objects, island is no more an geographical term, but a state of mind, in which the film as a process and medium to express nostalgia and reexamine my relationship among land, nation and identity.
