Based on a story by Janis Lapsa, written by Janis Lapsa and Andris Kolbergs, film is a singular work, filled with human warmth. It is a story about a talented surgeon Markalns, who after a serious personal crisis, returns to his native town in order to start his life anew. The attention is concentrated on the inner world of Markalns, his feelings in this so important period of his life, when to endure and to proceed means to regain the lost sense of life and himself. His character and emotional world opens in a wide scale: in collisions with colleagues, patients, friends, himself. He is contradictory, but even in moments of low spirits, virile. A real warmth and balance of mind is brought in the life of the outwardly robust and clumsy surgeon by a shy small-town girl Irita, called Doggie.

The film is director Gao Zipeng’s first fiction film which takes three years to complete. It premieres on March 27, 2001 in UCCA and stars the poet A Jian, Xiao Zhao and the writer Gou Zi. The film is based on a true crime of disappearance. It creates an atmosphere of what Ma Zhiyuan, a celebrated poet and playwright of Yuan Dynasty, portrays in his famous poem “Autumn Thoughts”: Over old trees wreathed with rotten vines fly evening crows/ Under a small bridge near a cottage a stream flows/ On ancient road in the west wind a lean horse goes/ Westward declines the sun/ Far, far from home is the heartbroken one.

A wolf is shot down and taken back to the village as a prize. But the animal did not die and the bullet in his skull provokes a backlash on its psyche.

A story about summer days from the life of Hungarian children.

Chong er and San yuan, who are gangsters, lived in a small city northeast of China. They felt lost and confused about the future. San worked at a factory. He and Chong helped Qi ge, the gang leader, to collect debt. Chong despised his vocation and wanted to become a cross talk actor. Lei fu, an entrepreneur, looked down upon Qi. Qi did nothing considered the scale and influence of Lei's company. Lei's project failed thanks to San. He was furious. The dispute was ended through the mediation of his old friends. San was beaten, and his hatred grew deeper. Chong's life was not as good as expected. The money he saved for learning cross talk was not in use. Qi finally got a chance to defeat Lei. However, there was no real winner in this battle. Lei's company went bankrupt. San kept on living an aimless life, while Chong left the small city and kept on pursuing his cross talk dream.

In 2053, Saigon, Vietnam is submerged in water. People have to move to the higher places for survival. The Vietnamese government has tried more than once to carry people to Mars, but their attempt turns out to be just a bitter failure.

With the help of jinn, the young man suceeds: his play is made on anchor; his girlfriend, Maya (Natalia Tagiyeva), agrees to marry him, and the bar is in the apartment. But Rustam wants to achieve everything. When the jinn throws away his "owner," he unveils the secret: a person must believe in his own power, and there must be a strong desire to create miracles.

Feature film produced by Beijing Film Studio in 1980, directed by Qian Jiang and Zhao Yuan. During the period of the "Gang of Four," Chen Hao -- a veteran cadre of a certain unit of the People's Liberation Army -- is brutally persecuted. Chen's three biological sons are also tortured physically and mentally. Defending the honor of a soldier, Chen is beaten into disability. After the collapse of the "Gang of Four," Chen returns to his post. Two of his children see their love lives fall apart, due to their father's precarious status, while the third child pursues a decadent lifestyle to dangerous ends.

Reflecting on the perpetuation of history's traumas, Jean-Marie Teno's latest film continues his ongoing project of documenting the impact of colonial and postcolonial politics on the lives of the people in his native Cameroon. Leaf in the Wind is both a reclaiming of forgotten chapters of Cameroonian history and a foray into the personal stories and broken lives behind the history.

At the airport, Slavi tells his life's story to a young customs officer. As children, Nelly promises Slavi to marry him. After staying at a refugee camp in Austria and another desperate love, he sets out to the United States. There Slavi makes some new friends who help him buy a truck. He hits the roads of America, where he comes across an Indian who sells him an arrow. The vender tells him this amulet will bring his love back. Eventually, Slavi comes back to Bulgaria, where communism has collapsed. His beloved Nelly lives alone with her daughter. One day Slavi meets her again...
