They come from the countryside. Maybe they are not dressed well, or they have only finished elementary school, but they work hard with their own work. The piece of prosperity pays its youth and sweat. (Shot between 1997 and 1998)

Old ladies who live in San-Bok-Do-Ro, Busan, ought to move out due to Rural Village Redevelopment. With vacated houses more than residents in town, villagers stuck together right until their inevitable separation. The camera gazes old ladies’ moments of parting and what’s left around them.

Frederick Ashton's La Fille mal gardée (The Wayward Daughter) is one of the choreographer's most joyous and colourful creations. Inspired by his love for the Suffolk countryside, the ballet is set on a farm and tells a story of love between Lise, the daughter of Widow Simone, and Colas, a young farmer. It contains some of Ashton's most stunning choreography, most strikingly in the series of energetic pas de deux that express the youthful passion of the young lovers, performed here by Natalia Osipova and Steven McRae. The ballet is laced with exuberant good humour, and elements of national folk dance, from dancing chickens and a maypole dance to a Lancashire clog dance for Widow Simone, performed by Philip Mosley.

Kameichiro is a 40-year-old virgin who is ridiculed by the people around him. He goes the wild encounters to try to get laid, inspired by the wild culture of garo comics and made by one of the biggest artists in the movement Takashi Nemoto. With cameo of cannibal Issei Sagawa.

Cucumbers want to play, and the carrot-girls are waiting for worthy suitors. Here there are festivals and folk rituals and the work around which life revolves of vegetable villagers.

Garden Lovers is a documentary love story about Finnish couples who have a passion for gardening. The film with comic undertones looks at their stories behind the hedges. The garden provides a framework for tales of relationship conflicts and joys; it depicts the many ways in which life can flourish; it gives strength and unites, but it also becomes a meeting place for farewells. There is an invisible bond that grows between the couples in the film; they comment and comfort each other with their own stories.

In a historical vegetable garden on a Dutch estate, the 85 year-old pruning master and the gardener tend to the espaliers. As they prune, the men chat about food, the weather, the world and they share their knowledge of horticulture. Fifteen years they have spent working on the pear arbour. Will it finally close over this year?
