Documentary short about Mexico's femicide crisis.

Umut(35) is an actor who wants to act in movies, Asiye(43), is a director at their private theater company. following umut’s father’s death, his mother marries a man with three children, and he is sent to live with his uncle in bursa. he has not had any contact with his mother for twenty years. until he is told that his mother has come to bursa for her illness. so he is forced to take care of her. at the same time learns about asiye’s pregnancy. the situation causes a massive crisis in his life. because of all the feelings, umut accumulated over the years, he lives a great showdown with his mother.

A visual meditation on the essence of hope. Leaves carried by the wind fall down and rise up. Each one draws its own line as they become part of something bigger. Everything flows, everything changes. Animation artist Zane Oborenko conjures up an intuitively driven and guided phantasmagoric abstraction improvised by musical gestures.

By transmitting signals from a radio tower, two survivors of the apocalypse desperately cling to the hope that they are not alone.

This documentary reveals the path taken by Mirna, a divorced woman with three children who decided to surrogate her belly and raise a baby for another family. It shows very closely the troubles she had to face due to the lack of regulation that exists in Mexico on the topic of surrogate gestation.

Her name is Shpresa, which means Hope in the Albanian language. Shpresa, tells a story of hope during war time, as she saves both of her brothers from captivity in enemy camps.

Junior, as he’s known, since he’s essentially still a child, seems to be having a tough time getting on in life. He shares cheap lodgings with another fellow and earns money doing strenuous night shifts at a warehouse. It’s no surprise that he lives for football and desperately hangs onto the dream of perhaps every Brazilian kid – to become a famous player. Although he trains hard with his amateur team, he’s not one of the best. He won’t admit to the mounting jealousy he feels as he watches his talented friend doing extremely well on the pitch. What’s more, his prospects don’t look so rosy now that his young girlfriend Carine is pregnant, and he also has to deal with her dominant mother poking her nose in...

Drawing parallels between Afro-Brazilian religions and LGBTQIA+ resistance, this film is a powerful and poetic prayer for all bodies stigmatized and violated by a patriarchal, racist society.
