When Mei-chen’s son Doudou takes his son Doumio to Hsia’s on a research trip, Mei-chen flies into a panic. Sasha, another 12-year-old protagonist of the film, did not find her great-grandmother alive, but she recreated her relative's experiences based on her father's stories.
