Sveta is Snegurochka, and to whom, how could she not be happy about the New Year and give others a festive mood, but she’s not going smoothly either: her beloved husband is completely immersed in the world of computer games and does not notice either his son, or Sveta, or reality.

A Russian film

Kot-ji is born by an affair between a hostess and president Kim of a trading company. Living with her mother, she is unusually smart but envies friends with both parents as she plays alone with dolls or watching TV. One day, on her way home, Kot-ji runs into a woman who offers to take her to her father and follows her. All has been planned by Jin-ah conspiring to make money out of her situation. Dong-jin who is secretly in love with Kot-ji's mother threatens Kim about Kot-ji and get money from him but things do not work out the way he thought. Dong-jin stabs Kim unintentionally and in panic takes Kot-ji into woods. While he quarrels with Jin-ah, Kot-ji makes her way to escape feeling danger. Kot-ji's pure heart moves Dong-jin and he returns her to her mother.

Chinese movie

A mild political satire about a peculiar friendship between a lonesome monkey and an (impoverished) zoo warden, and about an upside-down world in transition as seen by a chimpanzee.

A gray border, dull village. Time seems to have stopped in this place. The appearance of a beautiful woman breaks the monotonous way of life and challenges the colorless group of men and makes them come out of their shells.

Mady McKeon, a 10-year-old girl living in a farm town, is deeply affected by the death of a schoolteacher and her grandfather. Her father sells part of the family farm to the Air Force. The Air Force starts building a missile base. Mady watches a TV show that describes the devastation of missile attacks during World War II, and she runs away from home. Her parents reconcile and find her, and the entire town is brought together.

A visual poem in a universe of realities. A woman in an abandoned city in Brazil returns to a world of memory and feeling in a place where trapped souls relive moments from the past.

This co-production between Norway and Sweden is the first film that Anja Breien has made since Wives. She has adapted a novel by Hjalmar Soderberg. who also wrote 'Gertrud' from which Carl Dreyer's last film was made, and Doctor Glas' (made into a film by Mai Zetterhng) Games of Love and Loneliness, concerns the manners and mores of Scandinavian society between the years 1897 and 1912. A young journalist, Arvid, falls in love with a girl but won't commit himself to marrying her. She marries an older and richer man and he's pushed into marrying the girl he's been sleeping with. He meets his first love again, and she leaves her husband to have an affair with him, but he still cannot bring himself to leave his wife. Although Anja Breien has changed the character of the girl to make her less of a femme fatale and more of an emancipated woman, the film's central concern is the young man who cannot make up his mind what to do with his life.
