Gloria

'Gloria', is based on transcripts between noted psychiatrist and psychotherapist Fritz Perls and his iconic session with therapy client, Gloria, from the film "Three Approaches to Psychotherapy" (1964). Little is known of Gloria, not an actor but a client, she has become a mythic and fictionalised figure, decoded and continuously dissected within a film used as a teaching aid and historical archival record. In his filmed interview with Gloria, Perls demonstrates Gestalt therapy techniques. A term he coined, 'Gestalt therapy', is an existential, experiential form of psychotherapy that emphasizes personal responsibility, and that focuses upon the individual's experience in the present moment, and the self-regulating adjustments people make as a result of their overall situation. The voices mediated through the body of the performer are caught in an opaque, intriguing and morally uncertain looping dynamic.

Gloria consists of a 5-minute looped tracking shot in a park in the centre of Rio, in Brazil. This park is a copy of a French-style garden, but does not have perfectly straight contours. The tropical climate and the abundance of the vegetation constantly overruns all human efforts to make it a sophisticated park. Hope and Gloria is an American sitcom produced by Warner Bros. Television and aired on NBC from March 9, 1995, through June 22, 1996. The show was canceled after 35 episodes. It starred Cynthia Stevenson and Jessica Lundy, respectively, as the titular characters, both working in an office environment in downtown Pittsburgh. The program also starred Alan Thicke as a local talk show host and featured Enrico Colantoni in one of his first regular roles on television. The series was broadcast in Britain on ITV during the 1996 summer holiday, going out Monday to Friday for seven weeks.

Gloria is a South Korean television series starring Bae Doona, Lee Chun-hee, Seo Ji-seok, So Yi-hyun, Oh Hyun-kyung and Lee Jong-won in a tale of romance, survival, overcoming poverty and adversity, and making your dreams come true. It aired on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation from July 31, 2010 to January 30, 2011 on Saturdays and Sundays at 20:40 for 50 episodes.
