Je-je's father was working at the Gu-ro Industrial Complex when he caused an accident and was subsequently fired. One day, Je-je is picking flowers in the neighbor's yard when he is caught. He hurts himself as he is running away. As injured Je-je goes to school, the Japanese dean, Mudoa helps him and they become friends. He learns about love from Mudoa but she dies in a car crash. From the shock, Je-je lingers between life and death. He finally recovers and the family smiles again. Je-je keeps the love in his heart despite the bitterness and becomes strong.
