Foo Fighters re-open Madison Square Garden with the return of rock and roll in New York City, NY.

Maybe the 25th anniversary year didn't go *quite* as planned but we were still able to come together for a look back at the last 25 years.

The Foo Fighters captured live in performance at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City.

The Foo Fighters have the (very loud) last word, capturing rock ‘n roll lightning in a bottle playing their Billboard Rock Airplay #1 single, “Shame Shame,” plus classics spanning their 25-year career, and an electrified cover of the Chuck Berry Christmas chestnut, “Run Rudolph Run.”

Festival Chicago Live From Lollapalooza 2021

The band began recording their seventh studio album in August 2010 with producer Butch Vig, who had previously produced the two new tracks for the band's Greatest Hits album. The album was recorded in Dave Grohl's garage using only analog equipment. A documentary on the band's history, Back and Forth, was released theatrically on April 5 along with a live 3-d performance of the album Wasting Light. While most theaters viewed the show in its entirety, some theaters had technical issues and the band rescheduled to have Back And Forth played on April 14, 2011. On April 13, 2011, the band performed the entire album live from Dave Grohl's Studio 606 and uploaded it to YouTube in its entirety.

In a one-time only event commemorating their 15 years as a band and their first ever Greatest Hits compilation, Foo Fighters will perform an exclusive live over the internet concert from the band's own 606 studio complex this Friday October 30th at 7pm (PT) / 10pm (ET). In what will essentially be their only U.S. concert appearance in support of Greatest Hits, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett will bang out a career-spanning set webcast over both Facebook and Livestream, while allowing fans to comment, make requests and otherwise interact with the band in real time via Facebook and Twitter.

Frome’s Cheese & Grain was host to a remarkable surprise Foo Fighters concert last Friday as part of the publicity for their headlining announcement for Glastonbury Festival. The band, arguably the biggest rock band in the world, played an intimate 2.5 hour set to an appreciative crowd of 650. Most of the audience had been selected from the bands fan mailing list in a 50 mile radius of Frome, but a lucky 100 that had assembled outside the venue were allowed in on the night, much to their surprise and delight!

Foo Fighters took the stage at Chicago’s the Cubby Bear and played their first in-concert performance of the new single “Something From Nothing” from the band’s forthcoming album, also titled “Sonic Highways,” set for Nov. 10 release.
