First Comes Love consists of perfectly choreographed scenes of four wedding ceremonies accompanied by a complex medley of popular love songs. All seems to be going as it should until the couples reach the altar, when the celebratory atmosphere is interrupted for a surprising public service announcement. Then song and dance continues until the happy couples depart, leaving behind a dwindling crowd and a few altar boys who carefully sweep up the rice that blankets the pavement like snow. The film doesn't attempt to defend--or discredit--the institution of marriage. Instead, it reveals the many subtle emotions surrounding the event, and raises questions about how the double standard regarding marriage affects gay and straight couples.

Two best friends in their early twenties gaze into each other's eyes and recollect their sexcapades with a stupefying succession of boyfriends. The only true love here is their mutual adoration.

"First Comes Love" is the story of a shy boy, Eric, who is dragged through stages of "marriage" by an obsessive girl, Zoey, all throughout the course of recess.

Despite initially starting out in wedded bliss, devoted wife Candice and her manipulative husband, Ken, end up at odds, so much so that he hires a hitman to kill her and their unborn child. Candice finds herself embroiled in the fight of her life.

Bennett, who's engaged to his boss's daughter, just lost a major client for his company. When a letter meant for someone else is accidentally mailed to his home, Bennett tries to return it to its author. She turns out to be Robbie, curator of the museum home of the poet Longfellow which is desperate for funding. Bennett is drawn to Robbie and decides to help her save the museum. In the process, he finds himself reevaluating his life.
