The film is a speculated tv news, reports people in the future use Sedimentary ancient DNA (a method to detect the DNA of plants from the ancient soil and use it to reconstruct the ancient ecology)to discover our age, which aims to question artificial forests, and to re-examine nowadays ecological issues, ecological policies.

The film started as 40 minutes of shots of London during the first UK Covid 19 Lockdown (the strict phase of which began on 23 March 2020). These were taken on my phone during permitted exercise (cycling). The shots from 26 March are “imitated”. On the alto saxophone I have recreated and recorded as many as possible of the original sounds from the (poor-quality) audio on my phone-shots, and thus replaced the original audio. The shots from 28 March replace the original audio, too, but are “inverted”. I wanted to make a soundtrack that was in some definable way the OPPOSITE of the actual sounds recorded on my phone.

The Bella All-Star Band can't do their usual live gigs this Christmas, for obvious reasons. But that doesn't mean the Yuletide can't be celebrated. Recorded in beautiful country Victoria, Australia, at the tail end of a legendary lockdown, live in front of dozens of people - oh, alright, a dozen - this is A Swingin' Bella Christmas, 2020. You'll pick it up as you go: the first set is largely Christmas originals, the second set is largely carols. There's some very occasional coarse language, sorry about that.
