Using mixed techniques and experimental elements, the director intends to explore the relationship between him, the cinema, the actor and the spectator.

The film tells the story of young people in their early 30s; it speaks of their past and present romantic relationships and their attempts to find their way in life, one based on true feelings and decisions. Rather than well-set relations, which obstruct the vital flow of life, it seeks a direct contact with the world and other people.

The Mutability of All Things and the Possibility of Changing Some explores our human adaptability in light of catastrophe by way of seminal literature passages implying a transitory social body.

Matsumoto shocked by the earthquake and Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident, he decided to produce a new work, All Things Change, and titled it's trilogy, Toro no Ono Daisambu. The third part, All Things Change, consists of videos produced by Tanotaiga, Kanako Inaki, Hiroyuki Oki, Okuno Kunito, and Tanako Tanaka.
