An unassuming narrator makes things even more mysterious with a description that deviates from what you see; the constant tension makes every interpretation ambivalent. ".... I used to ... all Palestinian kids in Israel, used to hold the Israeli flag and sing for Israel in Arabic. Each year we used to do that, to celebrate, we would prepare dance shows, theater plays and songs! A lot of decorations and flags everywhere... And no one said anything. Imagine we used to stand on lines at the schoolyard each with his little blue and white flag. But the next day which is the Independence Day, a free day when all families and friends were supposed to go out on a picnic somewhere, or to the beach... my father always used to be sick and we never left the house on that specific day.

Morita, a socially successful man, is one day diagnosed with cancer and given three months to live. Morita wants to decide his own death, so he considers committing suicide. In this film, the idea of the iron rabbit is used as a metaphor for bisexuals’ situation. Something that looks like a rabbit is not necessarily a rabbit. When a straight couple appears, people often consider them to be ordinary heterosexuals. And when two gay people get together, people simply think of them as homosexuals. In this instinctive view, which holds that people are either homo or hetero, bisexuals seem to fade out. This film is a real reflection of the lives of bisexual people in Taiwan. We hope that through the film, people can understand more about bisexuals.

Ethnographic film

Paweł Łoziński’s documentary is a short, metaphoric story, undertaking a problem of memory, identity, searching for traces of the recent past. Here, on thirty hectares in the city centre, the inventory is being made – it is to lead to reconstruction of a lost city. The camera focuses on details, showing fingers touching an obliterated inscription or a laborious process of decoding letters excavated from the ground, because each of them means something.
