In the spring of 1937 Leni Riefenstahl had only just started editing the 1st part of her magnum opus Olympia and it became clear that the film would not be ready for another year. The German authorities, who were financing the film, began to fear that these delays would have a negative impact on the future commercial success of the two Olympia films and so it was decided to create a promotional film, in English and in French, in order to maintain public interest for the film.

André is home again! Back in his home town of Maastricht in time for the traditional summer evening concert on the Vrijthof. Once again the famous square has been transformed into a fabulous open-air temple to music. And this new live DVD will allow you to experience André Rieu at his best. It features the Johann Strauss Orchestra, 100 children from the music school, the Platinum Tenors, Mirusia, Carmen and Suzan and the 13-year-old musical talent Melissa Venema on the trumpet. A real high point is the performance with the world-famous Mastreechter Staar male voice choir. And the spectacular appearance of 150 choir members holding torches was a musical and visual delight that you simply cannot miss.

Indigenous villages at risk is an ethnographic documentary whose central purpose is to show the direct testimonies of people from nine indigenous villages, who have lived directly transformations of their cultures, some agreed upon by their communities, but many others without consensus. The statements contained in this documentary shows many facets of everyday life, culture and the problems faced by indigenous people, and bring out their strengths and their joy of life while showing, with clear evidence, the difficulties that arise for cultural strengthening of their communities. The video is divided into three parts and each features three different villages: Identity, Territory and Integrity.

The short documentary looks at some innovative approaches to providing services and accommodation for battered women in rural, northern, and Native communities. Filmed in Thompson and Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, and West Bay Reserve, Ontario, the film introduces the women who operate and use various types of accommodation such as transition houses, transition apartments, and safe houses. The shelter on West Bay Reserve is singled out as a project that was built by women for women to stand as a reminder that the Reserve will not tolerate violence against women. A Safe Distance is part of the The Next Step, a 3-film series about the services needed by and available to battered women.

Rien ne va plus is a photofilm, a love story between the souls of two people who died at the same time: Igor, a refugee from Azerbaijan, and Kah, the murdered wife of a diplomat. A film about geographical, physical and spectral borders.

Four iconic sequences in the history of Spanish cinema are aesthetically revisited. A strictly geographical search that places the camera in the very same spots where the shots of the original films were taken. No lighting. No audio edition. No actors. Just whatever there is fron of the camera.

On a beautiful Melbourne evening in November 2008, an audience of nearly 40,000 witnessed the show of a lifetime. Against the spectacular backdrop of the Schönbrunn Palace, André, his musicians and his entourage entertained the audience with gems from the Austrian capital as well as a host of popular melodies from his 'second home', Australia.

Drawing inspiration from Gallic culinary traditions, celebrated master chef Jacques Pepin, with help from his daughter Claudine, creates a beautiful alfresco buffet lunch to commemorate the graduation of a family friend. Among the many succulent dishes on the impressive menu are chicken Galantine, baked ham Georgia with a piquant apricot-mustard glaze and a sweet-savory peach sauce, and smoked trout with a creamy egg-and-pepper salad.
