Pro-Wres no Hoshi Aztecaser also known as Pro-Wrestling Star Aztekaiser is a Japanese pro-wrestling-themed tokusatsu/anime superhero television series produced by Tsuburaya Productions, and created by Go Nagai and Ken Ishikawa. Nagai and Ishikawa created three manga series, simply named Aztecaser, published in different magazines by Shogakukan. None of them are related between them or the TV show. They were compiled in a single tankōbon in 1978, 1986 and 2001.

The show pitted several young vocalists from various Latin-American countries against each other. They were sealed inside a studio living quarters and filmed 24 hours a day. An edited version of their daily activities was broadcast each night. They spent their days attending various performance classes, and every Wednesday performed a song in the weekly prueba de talento. The loser of the prueba was a candidate for dismissal from the household, and the contestants voted to select a second candidate. The public was then asked to choose one of the two candidates to be sent home from the studio. Fourteen original protagonistas were thus whittled down to four finalistas. The winners were the Cuban Barbara Higuera and the Dominican Miguel Angel Guzman. The show was immensely popular among young Latinos, but controversial among the older audience. There was some drama when singer Eddie Valdes left early due to health reasons, although some insiders slated him as one of the top contenders. The show was hosted by Puerto Rican singer Carlos Ponce.

Protégé is a Philippine over-all talent competition airing on GMA Network. The program seeks to discover new celebrities in the country through a series of nationwide auditions. The Filipino public votes for the outcomes of the later stages through text voting and half of the results are from the judges. The judges give critiques not only of the contestants performances depending but also to their respective mentors on the challenges that are being given to them.
The result reveals right after the performance. The first two results nights during season 1 were shown one hour after the performance of the finalists. The judges, on the other hand, are happy that their opinions matter in this contest, since the results do not depend solely on text votes.
Protégé sets quite a difference in the usual reality television series as it has a different opening billboard every week; and also the first Philippine television show to have a webisode.
The current winners of the show are Jeric Gonzales and Thea Tolentino, who are both from Calamba, Laguna. Jolina Magdangal and Gina Alajar, the mentors of Gonzales and Tolentino, respectively, also won. They were proclaimed as the winners on October 21, 2012.

Programming the Nation? takes an encompassing look at the history of subliminal messaging in America. According to many authorities, since the late 1950s subliminal content has been tested and delivered through all forms of mass-media including Hollywood filmmakers Alfred Hitchcock and William Friedkin. Even our modern military has been accused of these practices in the "war on terror" against soldiers and civilians both abroad and at home. With eye-opening footage, revealing interviews, humorous anecdotes, and an array of visual effects, the film categorically explores the alleged usage of subliminals in advertising, music, film, television, anti-theft devices, political propaganda, military psychological operations, and advanced weapons development. Director Jeff Warrick makes it his personal mission to determine if these manipulative tactics have succeeded in "programming the nation?" Or, if subliminal messaging belongs in the category of what many consider urban legend.
