The search for an accused youngster leads a policeman to a little village on the edge of forest. Subsequent chase deep into the forest leaves the cop badly injured. Away from the civilized world, in nature's soothing lap, the cop finds a new meaning to compassion, humanity and equality beyond the scope of justice; a revelation that will transform him forever.

They receive public assistance, make knitting crafts, or are hired by the neighboring Hmong as day laborers to help with the cultivation. On 15 February 2013 NRK broadcast the 12-hour-long broadcast National Wood Night on the topic of firewood.
