In this short film she joins forces with a visual artist to help her not only come to accept the body she has, but to celebrate its unique beauty.

Mosaic: World News from The Middle East was a daily news program offered by the free American satellite channel, LinkTV. Mosaic featured selections from television news programs produced by broadcast outlets throughout the Middle East. The news reports were presented unedited, translated into English when necessary. The show's founding producer was Jamal Dajani, a Palestinian American and was co-produced by David Michaelis, an Israeli Jew.

The story begins with Oomiya Shinobu, a 15-year-old, seemingly pure Japanese girl who actually did a homestay in Great Britain. Even after coming back to Japan, she still misses her time overseas. One day, an airmail letter arrives from Alice, the girl in Shinobu's host family in Great Britain. The letter reads: Shinobu, I'm coming to Japan! The Japanese/British girls' mixed comedy follows the lives of Shinobu, Alice, and other girls from both Japan and Great Britain.

The creation story, which begins with the big bang, has perhaps not been recorded more precisely anywhere. One of the best parts about being in a group of friends is that you usually have a couple of guardian angels watching over you. So, when Shinobu has to both write a script as well as make costumes for a play for the school festival, it doesn't take long for her classmates to realize that someone might have bitten off more than she can chew. Or write and sew, in this case. Fortunately for Shinobu's theatrical future, Alice, Yoko, and Aya are glad to pitch in, and that allows for a chance to reflect on their experiences in the days before Alice arrived. Will everything be finished in time, or will the audience be in stitches because of the ones coming apart onstage? There's no way to be sure until the last curtain call!
