Series in which eight overweight British people have to live as hunter-gatherers in the Kalahari desert for three weeks.

The story of six affairs of the heart, drawn from controversial feminist author Mary MacLane's 1910 syndicated article(s) by the same name, later published in book form in 1917. None of MacLane's affairs - with "the bank clerk," "the prize-fighter," "the husband of another," and so on - last, and in each of them MacLane emerges dominant. Re-enactments of the love affairs are interspersed with MacLane addressing the camera (while smoking), and talking contemplatively with her maid on the meaning and prospects of love.

The film follows the everyday life of modern women and their Men for Hire in Poland, Germany and UK. In doing so, we explore a side of human nature reflecting on today's society and will reveal its black comedy aspect.

Considered as the first of its category and still being held event, Beijing Queer Film Festival is the only community-based non-governmental film festival with a special focus on gender and sexuality in China. During the past ten years, the festival venue has shifted from the western suburb of the city to the eastern suburb of the city, and from the city to the countryside. In 2011 it went back to the city and took the strategies of the ‘guerilla warfare’ because of government intervention and censorship. Based on the footages recorded and collected by each year’s organization committee, the film interviewed the committee members and let them tell the stories of the festival and of themselves.
