Teddy Duncan's middle-class family embarks on a road trip from their home in Denver to visit Mrs. Duncans Parents, the Blankenhoopers, in Palm Springs. When they find themselves stranded between Denver and Utah, they try to hitch a ride to Las Vegas with a seemingly normal older couple in a station wagon from Roswell, New Mexico. It turns out that the couple believes they are the victims of alien abduction. The Duncan's must resort to purchasing a clunker Yugo to get to Utah, have their luggage stolen in Las Vegas, and survive a zany Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Blankenhooper.

There is Joe, (played by Chris Attoh) a broke troubled man who is struggling to change his ways and better his fortunes after finding love in Abena (played by Adomaa). There is Zuri (played by Sika Osei) a daring and energetic young lady who is haunted by an unfortunate event in her past, who is bent on making things right between her and her father. And then there's Elizabeth, (played by Kande Talata Awudu) who is a caring wife committed to her marriage regardless of the tedious task of having to deal with a clingy and needy husband who is confined to a wheelchair even as she compelled to enforce the plans of her aunt, Madam Francesca who is seems too sophisticated to want to get her own hands dirty.

Not wanting the same fate as befell her sisters, Sona Mishra re-locates to Mumbai to try to make a living making movies, but she soon finds that the path she has chosen is not an easy one.

As the girl is picking flowers, Pehta arrives and takes Mojca into her cottage. She wants to keep Mojca because of her singing.

A cat burglar with a case of diarrhea heads for the head, bag of swag in hand, and triggers a silent alarm. The security company calls one resident, who begins his hunt for the intruder; two other residents are also alerted by the sounds of flatulence, so they too are on the hunt, one armed with a gun, one with a golf club. A noisy toilet-roll holder adds to the burglar's problems.
