Tezuka Osamu's most famous work "Jungle Emperor Leo" has been made into an animated version a number of times. In this theater version, Tezuka Osamu was able for the first time to depict the theme that "All life is equal" through Leo's self-sacrifice.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Australian desert and bushland, see life through the eyes of a very special Red Kangaroo as he struggles to survive drought, bush fires, dingoes and roo hunters.

The story takes place in medieval France. Poet-rogue Francois Villon, sentenced to hang by King Louis XI for writing derogatory verses about him, is offered a temporary reprieve. In a 16th century kingdom in the Netherlands, the newly crowned King Stephan concludes a secret treaty with the Spanish. This puts him at odds with his younger brother, Prince Roland, who favors a treaty with the French. Stephan orders Roland imprisoned but Roland escapes and leads a revolt.

Arthur! And the Square Knights of the Round Table was an Australian animated series based on the legend of King Arthur of Camelot. The series was produced from 1966 to 1968 and written by Melbourne playwright Alex Buzo and British-born entertainer Rod Hull, with Lyle Martin, M. Robinson, and John Palmer. The characters included King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, Merlin, the Jester, the Black Knight, and Morgan le Fay. The actors who voiced the character parts in the series included: John Meillon, Lola Brooks, John Ewart, Kevin Golsby, and Matthew O'Sullivan.
