Thirty-five old Nikola comes back home after he had left a year ago, in a quarrel. His father Vlado and mother Anica came to Germany when they were young, looking for happiness.

After being away for a long time, Matija returns to Osijek to resolve an issue that has recently come up. During those few days he confronts issues from the past.

"A Haunted Home" returns to one of the bloodiest and most forgotten events in the annals of the State of Israel: the massacre that took place on April 11, 1974 at 15 Yehuda Halevi Street in Kiryat Shmona, in which 16 of the residents of the building were murdered by a terrorist squad. Through interviews with the survivors and family members of the murdered, alongside archival materials never before shown, the historical, political and cultural contexts of the massacre are woven together.

Teng and Mai seek temporary refuge inside a shelter for pregnant women and girls. Mai, unlike Teng, is not a first time mother. On the Way Home follows a man on his way home on a rainy night, while cross-cutting the happenings after he returns home: doing laundry in a flooded bathroom, drinking tea, reading, and repeatedly opening and closing the door.
