Film Home Is Somewhere Else Streaming

People say the true love lasts longer than life, but they don't mean it, and they are right: love ends when life does, except if it isn't.

Soon after arriving from Africa, Sahara, a mixed-race 15-year-old, is driven by CPS to a foster home in the suburbs. At the house, run by “Auntie,” she finds four teenage girls who object to her presence and make her life miserable. But, little by little, the girls form an unlikely sisterhood.

Residents of the old house are quite happy with their existence. But once they find out that the authorities plan to demolish the entire neighborhood including their house in order to build a business center they decide to unite and fight the plan...

Viktor spends his free time trawling bars with ladies of questionable repute, from where he is picked up by a wife he doesn’t love, the mother of a child they never planned. Viktor himself was abandoned by his own father, his mother then committed suicide, and he was left to grow up in an orphanage. Years later, his errant dad returns, now a disabled felon, and Viktor discovers a timely legacy is in the offing – his father’s apartment. The documentation for securing dad’s move into an old people’s home is signed in a flash. Nevertheless, the only one that can take him is miles away and, what’s more, the invalid starts to recuperate during the journey, which is when their real problems begin.

Pınar Öğrenci’s first documentary film examines the effects of discriminatory urban policies implemented in the 1980s in Berlin on “guest workers.” The starting point of the film is IBA (International Bau Austellung), the post-war urban renewal project carried out in the district of Kreuzberg between 1984 and 87. The photographs taken by the architect Heide Moldenhauer, who worked for IBA, and various archival materials form the basis of the film. Nearly forty years after they were taken, Öğrenci finds the people in the photographs to hold interviews with them and displays the hidden history of Kreuzberg through the experiences and solidarity stories of women immigrants.

The year is 1899. The young girl Marie Jensen lives at an orphanage with her two younger siblings Karl and Sofie. Their father is a sailor and has not been home for years. He was last seen in Norway but everybody is convinced he was lost at sea – except Marie. One morning the beautiful freighter ‘Hope’ comes to town with Skipper Andersen and his wife Mrs. Agnete on board. To Marie’s distress, they adopt Karl and Sofie, and Marie now faces being left alone. But quickly she comes up with a plan. At night, she cuts her long hair and disguises herself as a boy, adopts the name of Martin and signs on as a deck boy on ‘’Hope’. The ship takes Marie and her siblings on an eventful journey from the coast of Denmark to Norway and Iceland. A journey full of secrets, friendship, love and adventure – all in the hope of finding her father and reuniting her family. 'Finding Home' is a story about a young girl’s fight to break free of the path that society has destined for her and instead becoming a strong and independent woman.

In Tokyo, after midnight, many people wander around without destinations. Some were partying, some were working late, and some were just too drunk to catch the train on time. What happens if a camera crew suddenly asks them to let a camera follow them home in exchange of paying the taxi fare? There is no time for preparation for the interviewee. The camera documents their house just as it is. Some starts to talk about their previous dream by showing photo albums. Some start to confess their gratefulness towards their wife in the middle of the night. Why not discover how people react when a TV crew suddenly visits their home after midnight.

It tells the story of a person who is stuck with the concept of home and attaches a lot of meaning to small things, cnoosing herself as a weapon ata Russian roulette table and the battle of her inner roulette.

Actually, everything is going perfectly for Maria and Viktor: They are newly engaged, expecting their first child together and are moving into the large country house where Viktor grew up. However, when the heavily pregnant Maria has to spend an evening alone in the remote house, strange things happen. Viktor has to work long hours and Maria tries to get used to her new home, which still sends shivers down her spine. At first she thinks the strange occurrences such as power outages and mysterious noises from the basement are coincidence. But events get worse and worse and she slowly has to realize that she and her baby are not safe there. When contractions begin and the car keys mysteriously disappear, the night becomes a nightmare. What dark secrets does the house hold and what does Viktor's family have to hide?
