When Jamaican barbershop owner 'Baggio' opens his store for the day, one can expect a jovial atmosphere to follow him around no matter the time. Based in North London, Baggio's store Fresh Cutz has rapidly become a staple community hangout for the multicultural area. Whether one is looking for a haircut, a nice book to read, a homely locality to watch Sunday night football or even a taste of authentic Caribbean cuisine, Baggio and his friends have everything covered. This short documentary observes how the store serves as a place for social well-being and community conversation.

This unconventional documentary follows the struggles of five infamous graffiti artists as they make the transition from the street to the world of commercial success. Applying spray paint to some of the unlikeliest of places and materials -- including metallic city rooftops, sandy deserts, smelly sewers and wood-filled forests -- these maverick artists can't help but reveal their true, defiant colors, despite their professional ambitions.

Jean is a hostess for a large modern resort hotel in Sicily. The hotel is built within an ancient cave, even so, amongst all this beauty and endless sunshine, Jean is disenchanted by her work and would rather be somewhere else. Her tendency toward day-dreaming allows her to escape the hum-drum of her routine work. She is bored and wishes she could step out of her own life, take a risk and make everything change to live in the grand imagination of more pleasurable places.

Last week I made a film of 49 of my T-shirts called Fresh Air. It was to be purely structural. For sound I recorded (in sync) the quiet ambience of my Val Verde neighborhood. Then I decided to add the sounds of a radio playing. I set up my Sound Devices and began to record NPR’s All Things Considered. It was 3:00pm on December 2. The regular news was interrupted by breaking news from San Bernardino. By the end of my recording 12 people were dead along with two suspects. My film is no longer purely structural.

But that's no easy task in the 'hood thanks to breakups, makeups, baby-mama drama, flimflammers, felons and foiled robberies. The cast includes Red Grant, Sadiki Fuller, Nia Willois and Rip the Playa.
