The almanac was filmed by students of the 2nd TV directing course of the I.K. Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television for four months, which changed the country. These are stories about people for whom the Maidan has become an integral part of their lives - from dancing... to gunshots. Bakha and Takha are the sons of a well-known businessman who are really into adventures and surprises. Once, the boys come across a story about the Queen of the Turkic Amazons who needs help to fight the Powers of Evil. The brothers decide to offer their help in exchange for a chance to bring their mother back to life and win back their father's attention. Meanwhile, the boys' stepmom hires two bandits to kidnap her unloved stepsons. The bandits drop the boys off in a forest and this is when the big adventure begins.

Erik is a Dutch ten year-old schoolboy who is studying insects at school, and gets shown and explained a bit about them by his kind and knowledgeable nature-loving grandfather, whose country estate is a good place to do so and turns out to have a book on insects, which allows Erik to pass for one night, rather like Alice in Wonderland, as a miniature man among thus giant-looking, talking insects, who discuss their and other species and their lives with him, mainly winged ones, such as bee, fly and wasp.
