Fairy tales do not always have the desired effect on children. A former detective, characterized by an unusual phobia for darkness, arrives in the city, finding himself involved in strange circumstances. The serial killer will lead him in a fairy tale nightmare.

In Havana, where economic difficulties are numerous, two young people try to find out if love and aspirations can survive in a city defined by adversity.

"Fabula" is an experimental film by Jordan Baseman that asks questions about our dreams and dream experiences during the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. The film is narrated by the Harvard Medical School Dream Researcher, Dr. Deirdre Barrett. We hear Dr. Barrett discuss various dreams that she has collected through her research into Pandemic Dreams, their collective commonality, their significance and meanings, and their relevance to our times. Dr. Barrett also comments on the uniqueness of the Pandemic and the unusual dreams that have arisen as a result. The film was recorded entirely in London during Lockdown, using 16mm film and 6k digital film cameras. Time-lapse footage of clouds, are super-imposed with footage of the Thames and threaded through, layered with various shots lit by infra-red light. Fabula muses on our relationships with ourselves, one another, our environments and the meanings of our dreams while living with Covid-19.

Fable is a film based on a poem by Jackson Hobert. It tells the story of a young woman in an undefined time and space playing with artefacts of humanity. The ever-changing scale of the objects challenges the perception of a viewer, pointing out the relativity of everything around us. The underlying message touches upon, and questions, the hard-to-accept leitmotif of Zen Buddhism - can one really only gain by letting go.

A young, grumpy bear does not get along well with other animals. Klaas Veel decides to teach him some wise life lessons. During an adventurous dream, the bear and a brave squirrel visit different habitats of other animals. Together they experience wonderful, hilarious, exciting and moving moments. This gives the bear more eye and even respect for other animals.
