The central character of the film has an unusual passion. He is ready to sacrifice a lot for it, including his own life. Exit Point is a film about decision making; in order to be free one must sometimes follow one's nature with no doubts. This is also a story of sacrifice in the name of superior values.

The film is about two people with developmental disabilities who are living in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu after ‘de-institutionalizing' from a residential facility for the disabled where they had stayed for long in 2020. There were frequent incidents and accidents in their independence process although it can be summarized in one sentence. The film attempts to illuminate the value of humane life by allowing their present where they live independently in the community and the past where they lived in the controlled environment of a facility to face.

With their deadline looming, a small team of construction workers isn't too happy to find an anomaly in the house they're renovating. Especially one that breaks the laws of physics. But maybe there’s something to be gained from this? Like a finder's fee… Or nightmare fuel.

The film ends with a mise-en-scène: while the final rendering builds up on the computer screen, the aria „Barcarole“ from the 1881 fantastic opera „The Tales of Hoffmann“ plays. In this opera the hero, Hoffmann himself, hopelessly falls in love with the almost perfect creation of physicist Spalanzani, the mechanical puppet Olympia.
