An ode to aging women, to their bodies and their desires, located somewhere between fantasy and reality. Within an enclosed space, four women meet, get to know each other, and free their desires.

Et si on jouait? is the first episode of my Filmed Notebooks shot on video, whereas all the others were shot on film for nearly fifteen years.

The documentary gives us an interesting picture of Sigrid Undset’s literary career from her debut in 1907, of her historical novels and her active participation in debates against Nazism and Knut Hamsuns attitude. Through interviews, letters, old film footage and excerpts from Sigrid Undset’s literary works, we get an insight into one of Norway’s most significant authors.
