Rebeca murders her sister Adriana to end up with the man she loved, and becomes the step mother of her niece Lucía. Nora, Lucía's half sister and daughter of Rebeca, resents Lucía for the same reasons Rebeca hated Adriana, as history repeats itself.

“The Color of the Sky” is a testimony from those who, from their position as left-wing militants, full of dedication and faith, struggled to change Peruvian society, to conquer its sky. Set during the political events of the late 1970s and early 1980s, Unity, Political Violence, and Democracy are the main themes addressed by our protagonists.

Colour is not presented as a natural, but a highly constructed medium in the expierence of film. This is a short experimental-essay which is questioning canonized and hegemonic film-rituals used to build and test cinematic-images.

These stories begin to take life while Bautista tells them, giving us a whimsical touch of magical realism with a Caribbean twist, and showing how fragile the circumstances these characters live are.
