A disgraced warrior planning the murder of a Japanese diplomat, and a ninja in the employ of a navy official are about to land in San Francisco when a band of thieves steal the money the diplomats are carrying. The two set off on a chase across the American west to catch the robbers.

Having invited Donal Lunny and his band to play at the 1996 and 1997 Earth Celebrations on Sado Island, The Kodo Drummers made their first trip to Dublin, Ireland, in July 1998 to perform a series of concerts with the Donal Lunny Band. Tseng Kwong Chi (1950-1990) was part of an intimate circle of artists, Keith Haring, Kenny Scharf, and Cindy Sherman among them, who took center stage in the New York art world during the 1980's. As a Hong-Kong born, Paris-trained artist, Tseng viewed himself as a citizen of the world and eschewed labeling himself or his art as "Chinese." However, his ironic self-portraits posed in a Mao suit in front of American landmarks found their way to Communist China and were profoundly influential for China's avant-garde, including conceptual artists Song Dong and Zhang Huan, who were exposed to Tseng's images through western magazines smuggled into the country in the 1980's. Tseng's photographs not only satirized relations between the United States and its emerging rival, China, but also broadcasted his freedom of movement - a privilege denied most Chinese artists at the time.

In August 2015, the second Antwerp Queer Arts Festival took place in Belgium. Organized by the Antwerp LGBT umbrella organization “Het Roze Huis – çavaria Antwerpen”, the Festival focused on China. Chinese queer artists and activists Yuan Yuan, Siberian Butterfly, Xiaogang and Tony were invited to showcase the life, activism and art of LGBTI communities in China. They screened documentaries, held conferences and talks, and participated in the exhibition “Queer Arts in China” which featured photographs and paper-cuts manifesting China’s queer culture. During a marvelous week of festivities, they bonded with their Belgian colleagues and walked proudly together with them in the Antwerp Pride parade. Part one (Sun) was filmed in two continuous takes from opposite coasts on the Pacific Ocean, one near Beijing and one in California. The cameras slowly move laterally as the sun descends and ascends in two skies to create an arc-shaped trajectory. The dual scenes represent longing for what lies beyond.
