Dream Land is a one-year ink painting project by GAO Chun-fu. Every night, in the late hours, GAO captures the busy and chaotic state with ink painting. Applying the flowing technique, he paints the images and illusions emerging from deep within. The spontaneous gathering and scattering of water and ink reflect the artist’s internal breathing as well as the passing of time.

A young man is forced to become a criminal...

Middle aged Tae-gyu spends every night making love to his young and beautiful wife and everything seems like a happy dream to him. One night while his wife is out of town, someone keeps knocking on the door. The knocker doesn't reveal him or herself so Tae-gyu opens the door to find a woman who looks just like his wife, standing there. No, this woman looks just like his wife but she is wearing thick and heavy make up, has blonde hair and is wearing torn and ripped clothes. She's more decadent than his sentimental wife. After she's gone, Tae-gyu suffers every night from a nightmare in which he is being raped by an unknown figure and is confused if that is reality or just a dream. When the femme fatale comes back, Tae-gyu feels his wife's scent from her and is sure she is his wife by the look in her eyes. When she looks at him, he sees deep sadness. He knows that she wants him to kill himself when she hands him a knife so he stabs himself in the neck. Tae-gyu is dead, but it isn't over.

Sang-hyeon (Cha In-Pyo) is a third-rate comedian who works in a shady nightclub. One day, a man comes into the club with his son and a briefcase. The man looks for the owner but he's not around. Later that evening Sang-hyeon witnesses a car accident involving the man that came into the nightclub. The man is dying and he asks Sang-hyeon to take his son and briefcase to his wife. Sang-hyeon goes to the deceased man's family with the son and briefcase. The family asks Sang-hyeon to take the son Jae-yeong to his mother in Donghae, South Korea. Sang-hyeon is a gambling addict and because of this is in heavy debt. The family offers to pay Sang-hyeon a large amount of money if he would take the son. Sang-hyeon already dreams of stopping at a casino in nearby Jeongseon after delivering the boy.

Film is about communication. Kobrin pays homage to Vasili Nalimov, to his work and life. Nalimov was a mathematician and philosopher, but was also an eccentric anarchist with mystic tendencies who spent eighteen years in a concentration camp. Nalimov’s philosophy relies on probabilistic methods in the natural and social sciences and applies them to the study of language and consciousness.

When Bob's wife dies, he's determined to find Sabine, a woman he loved 30 years before. Even though he's had little to do with his daughter Rita, he begs her to take him to Denmark to find this lost love. She agrees and unceremoniously drops her baby off at her husband Steff's office where he's been working overtime to avoid bankruptcy. Rita and Bob pick up a hitchhiker, Erik, who plays to Rita's longing for freedom. Steff, with baby and teenage daughter, sets out in pursuit of his wife, jealous and also feeling pangs of love. On the road, Bob and Rita bond as do Steff and his children. On the Danish coast, Bob and Sabine, Rita, Steff, and Erik must sort out their dreams.

Two little girls from different backgrounds have a seemingly similar dream. However, one is a nightmare and the other is a beautiful dream. It all depends on your point of view.

Roya is a resourceful young woman who is juggling with loans to pay back a large debt. With her gift of the gab and her determination to fight her way out, she finds herself at the top of a small ponzi scheme that promises to be lucrative, but very soon the mechanism seizes up and a sense of control gives way to anxiety. With a sense of narrative sequencing akin to his senior, Jafar Panahi (The Circle, Blood and Gold), Mahmoud Ghaffari portrays a protagonist hemmed in by a double straightjacket, one where social and gender inequality are inextricably intertwined. His character is neither a heroine nor the passive victim of a crushing system but warrior-like yet evanescent. Arguably, this determination, which draws its energy from despair, can be seen as an obligation incumbent on any filmmaker practising their art in today’s Iran: the obligation to fight up to the point where one’s very absence leaves a void full of meaning.

Japanese filmmaker Li Ying directs the documentary Aji (Dream Cuisine), a portrait of master chef Hatsue Sato. In her late seventies, Hatsue is one of the last chefs who honor the traditional cooking style of China's Shandong province. She and her husband, Koroku, run a restaurant in Tokyo, but she really wants to move back to China where she was born. The filmmakers follow her to Shandong, where she does a television interview and meets culinary college president Liu Gwangwei. When the modern chef can't seem follow her old-fashioned recipes right, she decides to stay in China and cook them herself. However, husband Koroku doesn't want to change his location.
