Toby, a cynical film director finds himself trapped in the outrageous delusions of an old Spanish shoe-maker who believes himself to be Don Quixote. In the course of their comic and increasingly surreal adventures, Toby is forced to confront the tragic repercussions of a film he made in his idealistic youth.

Mass starvation and social disorder is the norm in the wake of the Korean War. Hwa-su works as a gofer at a local theater but dreams of owning one day a theater of his own. As an adult, Hwa-su becomes a protege of powerful businessman Sohn Jong-rok and marries his niece thus becoming an heir to Sohn's business. He takes over the Je-il Theater and re-names it Peace Theater. Achieving his childhood dream is the just the beginning for Hwa-su. He ventures into the world of filmmaking. Meanwhile, crime lord Lee Jeong-jae takes Yu Ji-gwang under his wings and partners with Gwak Young-ju to build his own political clout. But when his ardent supporter Lee Gi-boong loses the vice presidential race, Jeong-jae becomes nervous. Hwa-su, now a man with immense wealth and underworld power approaches Jeong-jae and Ji-gwang to form an uneasy alliance and enter the world of rigged elections and corrupt politics.

Don Quixote is a Japanese television drama series that aired on NTV from July 9 to September 24, 2011.

The old hidalgo Don Alonso Quijano, maddened by the excessive reading of books on chivalry and determined to become a famous and heroic knight-errant, leaves his village and sets out on the road in search of adventure, accompanied by his faithful friend Sancho Panza.

With his noble squire by his side, a retired country gentleman sets out on an adventure to right the wrongs of the world.

Senor Quexana has read so many books on chivalry that he believes that he is the knight Don Quixote de la Mancha. So Don Quixote sets off on his horse, accompanied by his squire Sancho Panza on a mule, to perform valiant deeds. They mistakenly save the Lady Altisidora who is so amused that she invites them to visit the Duke to provide some merriment at court. Among other deeds, Don Quixote frees some prisoners, who then turn upon him, and Don Quixote attacks a windmill that he imagines is a monstrous wizard.

Tim Blake Nelson is a man who's safe and comfortable and bored to death with his life. In his state of despair, he looks to classic stories for inspiration. Awakened by the tales of yore, he anoints himself as Don Quixote to find adventure, fame and glory that will make his life worthwhile - all while never leaving his one-mile square neighborhood.

Don Quixote, accompanied by Sancho Panza, wander the roads of Spain protecting the weak and doing good deeds in the name of his beloved Dulcinea.

Ho Tae joins in Dong Ki's plan for a futuristic car but worries about how to fund the project. A businessman recognizes the spirit of these two and helps them. Through Jae Ha's introduction, Ho Tae and Dong Ki meet Old Man Hwang whose experience helps them make the futuristic car. And so begins the schemes of the leading car companies to win them over. Through many twists and turns, they develop the futuristic car. But then they find out that their invention may break social stability.

Inflamed by his readings of chivalric novels, Don Quixote, a knight with a sad face, accompanied by Sancho Panza, a peasant steeped in common sense, decides to set off across the world in search of improbable adventures.

Carlos Acosta's first venture directing one of ballet's 19th century classics was eagerly anticipated, as was his own starring role in the production (as Basilio), opposite the Argentinian Royal Ballet principal Marianella Nuñez (Kitri). Still built on Petipa's original choreography, Acosta's clear dramatic structure and vivid stage action gave the ‘boy gets girl despite her father’ story a more convincing air than usual, with Don Quixote's parallel obsession with Dulcinea-Kitri coherently woven into the plot.

"Don Kihot" is a satirical, Klee-esque meditation about Don Quijote in the contemporary militaristic and regimentistic world.
