This is a remarkable Canadian black comedy that leans towards the themes of the international and the familial. Sarah and Aaron are related, but their live paths have diverged a long time ago. While still solving their personal problems, they have to work together to fulfill the last wish of their Jewish grandmother, who got into a concentration camp aged 15 and has miraculously survived the Holocaust. They have to somehow find the remains of her favorite childhood pet – a dog that could dance on her hind legs, but is long dead and is buried somewhere in Poland. This is a well-formed film that refuses to employ sentimentality just for show.

This film is straight-ahead footage of Santana, the Grateful Dead, and the Jefferson Airplane playing at The Family Dog in 1970. Each band does two songs, followed by a jam at the end featuring musicians from all of the bands.

Beginning with an abstract explaining ghost dogs, a woman tells a story of an abduction of a widow's son by an evil Fiddle Man with powers of Satan, and how a dog that might contain the spirit of her husband saves them both.

Set in the violent world of Victorian boxing and the honour code of the Romany Gipsies, 'The Dog & The Elephant' is the compelling story of the unlikely kinship between young boxer Bendigo Barlow and 'Ina', an elephant from a Travelling Menagerie. Bendigo's struggle to live with Tourette’s syndrome is made all the more difficult by fear and ignorance as he is violently shunned by those who simply don’t understand. Bendigo's fractured life leads him on a brutal journey of destruction, retribution and ultimately revenge.

In this first (and close to the last) cartoon done in Sepia Tone, Puddy the Pup is walking along with a bone in his mouth and, while crossing on a log running over a stream he sees the magnified reflection of the bone in the water. An impish devil appears and urges him to drop his bone and dive into the water after the bigger one. He does and finds nothing while losing his bone. He finds another bone at an Italian restaurant and as he returns over the same stream the imp appears again. Will Puddy be fooled again?

Ace Kvale turned 60 last fall, and to celebrate, he planned a 60-day, off-trail backpacking trip around Utah's Canyon Country, leaving from his front door. He had a dozen friends join him for different sections of the trip, and one friend who joined him for the whole thing: his blue heeler, 10-year-old Genghis Khan. They covered more than 400 miles on their journey, and Ace wore one pair of shoes for the entire trip: Vasque Inhalers. Filmmakers Forest Woodward and Brendan Leonard captured the trip, and Genghis and Ace's special relationship, in the short film "Ace and the Desert Dog."
