The Ultimate Guide was a documentary made by BBC Events Production in London which aired on BBC Three in the run-up to the 50th anniversary of the Doctor Who. It gave a broad overview of the show's history, and interviewed many people involved in its production over the years, including five of the actors who portrayed the Doctor: Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann and David Tennant — as well as the current executive producer and head writer Steven Moffat.

Ace returns to Perivale to visit her friends, only to find they have been abducted to an alien planet by a race called the Cheetah People who were shown the way to Earth by the Master. The Doctor must find a way off the planet before they all succumb to its savage influence.

But when a young nobleman returns, having just left King John in London, the Doctor realises that this king must be an impostor! Then the Master makes an appearance and the Doctor's worst fears are confirmed...

The Doctor and Peri arrive on Karfel, a planet ruled by fear where the enemies of its ruler, the despotic Borad, are banished into a time tunnel known as the Timelash.

All of the Doctor's incarnations are in crisis when The Rani creates a time-loop in the East-end of London in this 30th Anniversary Special.

The TARDIS lands on the idyllic jungle world of Deva Loka, which is being surveyed for possible Earth colonisation. Arriving in the town of Tombstone, the First Doctor finds himself involved with gunmen out to kill Doc Holliday...
