Following in the bloody footsteps of the auto-accident documentaries produced by Highway Safety Films (HSF) of Ohio, came a number of independently produced imitators Produced by the "Suicide Club" (Dean Robinson, who also narrates), DEATH ON THE HIGHWAY is composed largely of still photos retouched with red ink to underline the gruesomeness.

CZW Tournament of Death VIII, held on June 6, 2009, in Townsend, Delaware, USA, was an electrifying instalment in the Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) calendar. This hardcore wrestling extravaganza featured intense bouts, including a memorable final match where Thumbtack Jack emerged victorious in a 200 Light tubes And Panes Of Glass Death Match against Nick Gage. The event showcased the raw brutality and adrenaline-pumping action that CZW fans crave.

August 31, 2002 saw the first annual CZW Tournament of Death. The event was billed as Zandig's Ultraviolent Tournament of Death due to a storyline of John Zandig losing ownership of CZW to Lobo, thus promoting his own deathmatch tournament. It was held in Dover, Delaware.

July 26, 2003 saw the second CZW Tournament of Death, again held in Dover, Delaware.

The fifth CZW Tournament of Death was held in Smyrna, Delaware on July 29, 2006. The format changed slightly for this show, with the first round matches being three-way elimination matches, the second round matches being 4-way double elimination matches, and the final being a single elimination 4-way match.

CZW Tournament of Death VII, held in Smyrna, Delaware on May 17, 2008, was a groundbreaking event in professional wrestling. Featuring a mix of hardcore and deathmatch styles, it showcased intense battles with light tubes, barbed wire, and other unconventional weaponry. Notably, it marked the first time a female competitor participated in the Tournament of Death, adding an exciting dimension to the brutal competition

Told through the firsthand accounts of four survivors--Toivi Blatt, Phillip Bialowitz, Selma Engel-Wijnberg, and former Russian POW Semjon Rozenfeld--and using dramatic reenactments, Escape From a Nazi Death Camp recounts the true horror of life at Sobibor, and the desperation, determination, and courage of its prisoners. Of the 600 inmates present on the day of the escape, 300 escaped into the forest surrounding Sobibor. Of that 300, many were shot, turned in, murdered, or captured by Nazis. Around 50 survived the war and of that 50, only a handful are still alive. Now in their 80s and 90s, this is their last chance to reveal, in their own words, the true story of the day they escaped certain death to freedom.
