Written more than 100 years ago, Heart of Darkness is a tale of lies and brutal greed and of the dark heart which beats within us all. Now re-sited in a forsaken Europe, in a world which echoes Apocalypse Now, what emerges is a tale absolutely for our time. This bold re-telling of the Conrad classic is a visually rich, multi-layered work which fuses live performance with digital technology. The performers enter the stage, into uncharted territory. They are adrift with a story that they know they must tell. As they wait for the turn of the tide, the story unfolds like an animated Cinemascope graphic novel on the hanging projections screens above their heads. The heart of darkness must be found. The story is impossible to tell, but it must be told. Presented by imitating the dog. Heart of Darkness is co-produced with Marche Teatro (Italy) and Cast. Supported by Arts Council England, Lancaster Arts at Lancaster University and Theatre by the Lake.

The poignant story of a love triangle that upended the life of one of the most important figures of 20th-century classical music. Composer Arnold Schoenberg befriended painter Richard Gerstl, a young man who shared the revered musician's passion for art—but that was not the only love they shared, as Schoenberg's wife also found herself drawn to the mysterious figure who was Gerstl. The drama and tragedy that ensued also cleared the way for one of the most groundbreaking aesthetic shifts in music history.

Set against the backdrop of the long history of the Texas prison system – from Juneteenth to COVID – Dark Cell Harlem Farm explores the death by suffocation of eight Black men at a prison plantation in 1913. Combining readings of primary source materials and personal reflections by formerly incarcerated individuals, footage of the prison landscapes where the incident took place, and a series of graphical interventions and excavations, the film makes an urgent and uncompromising argument for the impossibility of prison reform and the necessity of prison abolition.

Into Darkness is a short adventure essay about the experience of exploring the secret underworld of caves. Journey along with a group of cavers who push impossibly small passages to access some of the final frontiers on earth. The images and sounds of spectacular and remote wilderness caves will reveal a fantastic world unlike anything we experience on the surface.

A collaborative film project between Mercator Films and Evergreen Gravel Racing which explores the intersections between adventure cycling, conservation, and Indigenous Sovereignty. The film follows 10 cyclists as they disappear into the landscape surrounding the Dark Divide 300, a 330 mile Pacific Northwest bikepacking route through Nisqually, Cowlitz, and Squaxin Island land in Washington state. Tribal leaders from the area provide context on what the land means to them presently, has meant to their Tribes historically, and what the adventure cycling community can do to become better stewards to the land we occupy. The route will be run as an endurance bikepacking race in summer 2023.
