A former radical Muslim reveals the foundation of modern Islamic beliefs and actions. Daniel Shayesteh was born in Iran near the Caspian sea. By age nine he was able to recite the entire Qur'an in Arabic, which made him a famous boy in the area. As a young man he was totally committed to Islam and was a co-founder of Hezbollah (then known as the Iranian Revolutionary Army). He inspired other good Muslims to hate and kill Americans and Jews. After he helped to oust the Shah of Iran and bring Ayatollah Khomeini to power, he was kidnapped and sentenced to death; the Ayatollah didn’t like Daniel’s opposition to his political agenda. He existed for a time in torturous prison conditions. His cellmates were executed, but by the grace of God Daniel escaped to Turkey. It was there that he met a group of Iranian Christians. And it was through their witness of the love of Christ and training in the truth of the Bible, beginning in Genesis, that he came to know Christ as Savior.

Strange and dark realities perforate human lives. Larger-than-life events like the pandemic, globalization, inequality, virtuality and climate change disturb the private spheres and public spaces. We are nomads, on the road to the next fata morgana, clinging on to the comfort of stories, collective events, and virtuality. Starting from personal explorations and departures, this short film creates an awareness of today's fading human sphere, attempting to make it more tangible and transparent.

High up in northern Norway, above the Arctic Circle, five snowboarders, some local, some visitors, are out in the mountains during the polar night. In the rural village of Umhluwayo in Kwazulu-Natal, one of South Africa's worst serial killers was born. Sipho Dube came from a religious family but from a young age terrorised the community. By 2006, 30 year old Dube was found guilty of murdering six children, one woman, raping three girls and indecently assaulting two boys. He was also convicted of ten kidnappings, one theft, one robbery, one common assault and one assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Throughout his trial he remained unrepentant, rude and aggressive. He displayed nothing but contempt for the court. He was sentenced to ten life sentences and an additional 114 years. Some will say Sipho Dube was born to do evil.

Although controversy over vaccinations is not new, current childhood immunization schedules include twice the amount of vaccines compared to 25 years ago, with multiple vaccines given simultaneously being the norm. In addition, elements used in the preparation of vaccines such as mercury and aluminum have not been tested for safety in humans since the early 1920’s. These facts, along with the increase in diagnosed cases of autism spectrum disorders and learning disabilities, coupled with the striking similarity in parental and physician post vaccination observations, direct the film’s exploration of the contention between government agencies, legal authorities, watchdog associations, drug companies, physicians, parents, and children.
