Dark Summer

Follows the tale of a 17-year-old on house arrest for the summer. When his mother is away on business, a horrifying incident occurs, followed by an even more terrifying presence in the house.

A traveling cellist gets involved with two disturbed sisters on their way to Seattle to tell their mom that their dad has just passed away. On the way, the two kill a judge and a few others unknown to the cellist. Eventually he gets pinned for the crimes and is forced to defend himself.

Two years after Jason Parks (Landy Cannon) saved Warrior Princess Summer Vale (Brigitte Kingsley) from her life hunting Killopoths in the demon dimension, a sudden surge of supernatural activity and violent attacks have resurfaced on our plane beyond the normal parameters of the portal. The Rising Dark Agency, a black ops division of the government headed by Colonel Haggerd (Michael Ironside), suspects that the mystic strikes suggests the work of Mardock, an evil Demon-god capable of destroying worlds. When a new demon sub-species disrupts Summer's wedding and eats her fiancée, the war on the new Demon Lord begins. With her group of misfits and their BFG's - Summer sets out to destroy Mardock, but no one is prepared for who they find behind the Dark Lord's ascension.

Ankoku Butoh is a style of avant-garde dance that established itself in the counter culture experimental arts scene of post WWII Japan. The dance form is thought to have been founded by Tatsumi Hijikata, who both created and performed in butoh pieces from the late 1950’s - through the early 1970’s. In butoh, the style of movement is extremely stylized and deliberate, vacillating between slow and sharp, expressing feelings of dread, sexualization, violence, calmness, birth and “creatureness” among other things. This performance of Summer Storm was originally recorded in 1973 at Westside Auditorium, Kyoto University, Japan, and was Hijikata’s last public performance before his death in 1986 with Butoh of Dark Spirit School. A work supervised by Kenzo Nagira. Reiko Okura, the wife of a conglomerate group officer, is ordered by her husband to go to a summer resort one day. A young man I meet there. Reiko has a strong sense of chastity, but she is gradually attracted to the strength and kindness of the young man. The contact with the young man fills the gap in Reiko's lonely heart. Reiko drowned in an immoral relationship.

“Darkness of Summer” depicts the rich ethnographic culture of India’s Irula tribe. It also brings to light their vulnerability and how they easily get trapped into the system of bonded labour and other social evils. the film brings these out through the journey of a newly married couple and the hardships and atrocities that they face because of a brick kiln owner under whom the man works.

Upon hearing of Ushio's death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima and reunites with his childhood friend's family. The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. What mysteries await him on this secluded summer island?
