In this video essay Maxim Seleznyov looks at the images of his hometown Novosibirsk through panoramic eye of Google Maps and combines it with voices of current citizens of Novosibirsk and images of the worlds from video games of his childhood.

A mechanic has invented a marvelous machine, and he most eagerly shows the plans to his wife, while they enthusiastically plan their daughter's future. The manufacturer realizes how great the plans are, and decides to have patent made out in his name only, realizing, however, that he must take the inventor in the business until a favorable opportunity comes to dismiss him. Later, the inventor demands his share of the profits and is coldly rebuked. The inventor threatens and the scoundrel ejects him from the place. Without work and no money, the inventor visits his fellow-workmen and explains the situation to them. They immediately rush to the manufacturer and demand justice. The villain is too frightened to comply at once, and the mechanics, misunderstanding his silence, proceed to use violence. The stupefied inventor finally realizes his mistake, and bravely defends the manufacturer

Mel is a photographer who preferably takes pictures of trees, used hotel rooms after sexual encounters and the streets of her hometown Trujillo. After her mother dies, she learns about a large debt she has left her. In an exhibition about her city, which she has organized with some colleagues, her picture catches the attention of a woman whom Mel has already come across in her photographic expeditions on the streets. They develop a special connection while accompanying each other through their days, wandering in a black and white Trujillo.

Paweł Łoziński’s documentary is a short, metaphoric story, undertaking a problem of memory, identity, searching for traces of the recent past. Here, on thirty hectares in the city centre, the inventory is being made – it is to lead to reconstruction of a lost city. The camera focuses on details, showing fingers touching an obliterated inscription or a laborious process of decoding letters excavated from the ground, because each of them means something.

Lucas participates in an acting workshop in which everybody has to pretend to be someone else. Each day, a participant disappears without leaving a trace of its existence and Lucas seems to be the only one noticing it. Would they have a different assignment? Could he also mysteriously disappear?
