Lillah Halla asked five Cubans to dance in front of the camera to music that sums up their lives at that moment. The songs are inaudible to the viewer, but the rooms in which the people dance, the way they move and their facial expressions as they listen reveal their state of mind.

Hu County, in suburban Xi’an, is famous for its peasant paintings, produced in 1958 during the Great Leap Forward. It became particularly famous during the Cultural Revolution, when these works were hailed as model paintings. In 2005, the directors visited the county and interviewed both the painters and their teachers. Comparing different political languages and artistic imaginings across the ages, the film draws on diverse sources: old documentary film clips, new propaganda paintings, Beijing Opera in the local “Qin” accent, and traces of the old amongst the new. All these elements are engaged to help us better understand the painters and the phenomenon of propaganda paintings

'Collective Economy. Tadeusz Mazowiecki, the first prime minister of free Poland, takes us through successive stages of the political transformation at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. He ponders, listens and negotiates sharply. He must be aware he’s making a great revolution. What values and ideals inspired this transformation? What can we learn from him today? “Make Revolutions by Phone: A Short Movie about Tadeusz Mazowiecki ” is a documentary essay based entirely on archival materials from various periods of Tadeusz Mazowiecki’s life, edited in a creative way suggesting that Mazowiecki is conducting the conversation with himself. Dynamic animations and young alternative music give a counterpoint to the story.

The DVD is of her largest show to date held at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on November 6, 2012. The show's concept was of a pop-up picture book, and features many of Kyary's cute and colorful costumes with even a performance where she flies above the audience. All 20 songs performed are included. It was released in DVD and Blu-ray editions. A limited edition (DVD only) comes with a bonus disc of a backstage documentary, bonus live footage from other shows, as well as videos of Kyary explaining how to dance "tsukematsukeru" and "Fashion Monster". The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, by acclaimed San Francisco composer Mason Bates and Pulitzer-winning librettist Mark Campbell, comes home to the place where it all began. Under the baton of Michael Christie, Bates' score takes us on an operatic journey through the fragmented memory of love, betrayal, obsession and death, weaving together classical lyricism and a techno soundscape informed by the audio of early computers.

This animated short film is composed entirely of etched woodblocks. It speculates on the legacy of the Cultural Revolution, alluding to the historical use of woodblock printing in disseminating ideology. Woodblock printing, which emerged in 7th century China, experienced a revival during the Cultural Revolution in the 1960s and 1970s as a means to quickly communicate information to a mass audience. One of the key proponents in China's modern woodcut movement was Lu Xun, whose philosophy is embedded throughout the film. For instance, Lu Xun's motif of cannibalism to describe the decay of Chinese consciousness is referenced when the protagonist pulls an insect from within his own body and eats it alive.

Starting with a scene of a refugee camp in Israeli-occupied Gaza in 1976, the film features shots of various districts, dispensing with narration and interspersing interviews with Palestinian people and fedayeen (guerrillas) in the rubble of Western Beirut. Children who lost their parents in bombings are educated to be soldiers at their orphanage. They say that they want to be soldiers or heroes. Boys and girls sing: "We don't want money. We don't want to play. We will carry guns and enter the Revolutionary Army." Two years after the filming began, the girls have grown but they have not changed their minds.
