This documentary attempts to grab the essence of Canary Wharf and its meaning to its occupants through the words of J.G Ballard.

The Chinese Gardens looks at the lost Chinese community in Port Townsend, WA, examining anti-Chinese violence in the Pacific Northwest in the late 1800s and drawing connections between past and present race relations in the United States. Through text, brief interviews, and images of the empty spaces of Port Townsend's former Chinatown, the film examines early instances of racism against the Chinese in the U.S., from the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 through various lynchings, beatings, and murders. The Chinese Gardens also documents Chinese American resistance to these crimes, illuminating the hidden history of that tumultuous time.

The small town of Lucas, Kansas, is home to one of America’s most unique triumphs of self-expression: S. P. Dinsmoor’s fantastical backyard concrete and wood rendering of the Garden of Eden. Dinsmoor’s self-constructed and wildly imaginative figures represent one man’s attempt to make sense of the world in which he lived. A Civil War veteran, farmer, and self-taught artist, Dinsmoor created a work perhaps more relevant today than ever before; witness Dinsmoor’s Labor Crucified surrounded by a Doctor, a Lawyer, a Preacher, and a Banker to know that this garden is still thriving today. Adding to Dinsmoor’s triumph is the collective work of Montage Production’s Richard Grove, Richard J. Her friend impressionist Childe Hassam prepared illustrations for Celia's last book, An Island Garden, published in 1894 just before her death. Based on her book, the unique garden has been recreated on Appledore Island and now attracts hundreds of visitors annually. This film tells the story of Celia and her garden, her friendship with Hassam and other artists, and the effort made by Shoals Marine Laboratory founder Dr. John Kingsbury to recreate the garden 80 years after Thaxter's death.

The title of this story is taken from the name of the great Argentine singer Carlos Gardel, the idol of the antihero Toribio portrayed by Alberto Argibay. Toribio's goal in life is to emulate the famous singer and making his own way successfully in the music business. Yet at the same time, he does not stop his illegal means of making ends meet, stealing and petty thievery. Discouraged when his big break never quite materializes, Toribio heads for disaster when he joins up with a large smuggling scheme.

In 1920s Buenos Aires, Tango sensation Carlos Gardel is involved with several women, including the baroness Ms. Wakefield. He finds his way to 1930s Paris and captivates the local culture with his alluring voice and dashing visage. Against the background of social upheaval and political turmoil, the baroness changes him forever, transforming a wandering soul into a legendary musical icon.

An American girl marries the prince of a small European country. On their wedding day, the couple is involved in a car accident, the result of which is that the new bride suffers amnesia and can't remember who she is or anything about herself. While her new husband is off tending to his ailing father, the king, the woman's doctor hires a man to pose as her husband, hoping to jar her memory. She falls in love with her new "husband"; complications ensue.
