Blinky

The Adventures Of Blinky Bill is an animated television series based on Dorothy Wall's books about Blinky Bill. The series is produced by Yoram Gross. Set in Greenpatch, a fictional Australian town, the series presents stories of conservation and nature through the activities of Blinky Bill and his family and friends.

Blinky Bill is a little koala with a big imagination. An adventurer at heart, he dreams of leaving the little town of Green Patch and following in his missing father’s footsteps. When Blinky discovers a mysterious marker that hints at his Dad’s whereabouts, he embarks on a journey that takes him beyond the boundary of Green Patch and into the wild and dangerous Outback.

Blinky Bill is back to bring his trademark mischief, mayhem, and humour to life. Along with his best mate and sidekick Jacko, Blinky takes on the role as defender of his outback home, Greenpatch.

A story about a boy, his robot and the consequences of his anger at the disintegration of his parents marriage.

The film tells the story of Blinky Bill’s childhood with his animal friends in the Australian bush. The peace and charm of their existence is shattered by the destruction of their homes by humans. Blinky Bill rallies his friends, in a series of exciting adventures, as they battle to protect their homes from destruction and as he rescues his mother from captivity.

In the novella Blinky The Friendly Hen (1978), artist Jeffrey Vallance documented the supermarket purchase of a frozen chicken and its burial in the Los Angeles S.P.C.A. Pet Memorial Park. Naming the fryer Blinky, Vallance transformed poultry into pet, paying tribute to the billions of hens sacrificed each year for our consumption. Ten years later questions of the true cause of Blinky’s death continue to swirl. Blinky, the videotape, documents the search for this cause. Alas, like the shroud of Turin, Blinky’s death cannot be completely resolved. Blinky’s ten-year story ends where it began, in our culture’s glistening, dreamlike symbol of heavenly closure, the supermarket.

Blinky, the bespectacled son of Col. "Raw Meat" Islip, is scorned by his fellow cavalrymen stationed on the Mexican border because his previous military experience was as a Boy Scout.

With Christmas just around the corner, everyone in Greenpatch is busily decorating the town square. Blinky Bill is up to his usual mischief and accidentally breaks Wombo's snowdome. To make amends, he decides to give Wombo a treat by creating a white Christmas in Greenpatch with real snow and a real Christmas tree. So Blinky and Flap begin a quest in search of the rare and mysterious Wollemi Pine Forest in order to cut down a tree for the village square in Greenpatch, while Splodge and Nutsy stay at home and, with a variety of outrageous experiments, try to create snow. Will they make snow it in time for Christmas Eve? Join Blinky Bill and his friends as they celebrate the magic of a traditional European White Christmas in the Australian Bush. Extraordinary!

The untold story of Australian animator, Yoram Gross, comes to life in this new film that follows the artist and his family through his childhood in Nazi occupied Poland, in Israel, all the way to Australia, where he found his fortune and happiness through children animated features and the popular film series Blinky Bill.

Set in the fictional Bollygum National Park, the series follows Blinky Bill, Mrs Magpie, Angelina Wallaby and Walter Wombat from the original _Blinky Bill_ books by Dorothy Wall, and adds new characters such as Charlie Goanna, Eric Echidna, Sybilla Snake and Kerry Koala from the neighbouring fictional Acadia Ridge park.

Blinky Bill, 11, introduces himself as Guardian of Greenpatch! Armed with a bold excess of confidence and a gift for mischief, Blinky is accompanied in his search for emotions by Jacko, very nervous but always loyal.

Blinky's Fun Club was a children's television program that aired first on aired on KKTV in Colorado Springs from 1958 to 1966 and then on KWGN-TV in Denver, Colorado, from 1966 to 1998. KWGN's general manager Bill Ross cancelled the show in 1998. The star of Blinky's Fun Club was Blinky the Clown, played by Russell Scott. In the early 1980s additional characters began to appear regularly, including Otis and Zelda, played by husband and wife acting duo Michael Berg and C.J. Prince. Children appeared on each show to celebrate their birthdays and were sung "Happy Birthday to You," by Blinky. Over 10,000 episodes, taped at KWGN's studios, initially located at Lincoln & Speer in Denver, later in Greenwood Village, aired during the show's three decades on the air. The station reportedly saved tapes of only ten shows. KCNC & KUSA, reportedly, were able to get a few of the episodes out of the trash, and have them in their libraries.

Twelve-year-old Sandy goes on adventures with her koala friends Blinky and Pinky, who are from the extra-dimensional realm of Koalawalla Land.
